Counselling

Small urban garden with white planter boxes filled with plants and flowers, including purple lavender and green shrubbery, surrounded by paved white tiles and a yellow brick wall.

The Counselling Service is delivered by a team of dedicated counsellors (employed by the NHS) specialising in supporting people to cope with the emotional impact of cancers.

Unfortunately, we are disappointed to announce a temporary pause in the delivery of this service as the lead Clinical Psychologist has recently resigned. This is an important role providing support and supervision to the counselling team and essential to meet NHS guidelines.

However, all patients who are currently receiving counselling will continue to the end of their course of treatment, but until further notice the service will not be taking on any new referrals.

Please be assured that Ark Cancer Charity is committed to funding counselling services for patients and we hope to be able to provide you with an update on this service as soon as we have any further information.
