Whiteoaks International PR are Ark bake-off champs

Baking skills were certainly on show as eight teams from Whiteoaks International PR competed in a charity cooking contest.

An assortment of tasty treats was created in the Great British Bake Off-style competition which raised funds for Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Adrian Culver, patisserie chef from Newlyns Cookery School, was the judge who put the cakes and bakes to the test and taste, and chose the top team and star baker.

Team Capella were delighted to claim the Bake-Off crown, while the star baker accolade went to Emma Slaughter.

The cakes and bakes went on sale at lunchtime on Monday (Sept 30) in the Form 1 building, where award-winning Whiteoaks International - the number one technology PR agency outside London - is based in Hook, and £222 was raised for Ark.

Mark Jones for Ark, said: "Thanks to Whiteoaks International PR for coming up with this latest fundraiser for Ark. It's clear that this multi-talented team can really stand the heat in the kitchen when it comes to creating some great cakes and bakes."

Next on the fundraising agenda for Whiteoaks International PR is a charity five-a-side tournament taking place at Robert May's School, Odiham, on the evening of Friday, October 18.
