Tadley Singers are on song for charity

The wonderful Tadley Singers were well and truly on song as they raised hundreds of pounds for Ark Cancer Centre Charity at their Summer Concert.

The community choir put on a splendid concert in support of the charity – the third time the Singers have performed a special show to help the £5million fundraising appeal.

The Tadley Singers were once again led by their acclaimed musical director Dai Ogborn, and Paul Wright provided brilliant support on the piano.

Charity by Candlelight

The people of Newnham decided that the opportunity to have a world class cancer centre on their doorstep was not to be missed! So Clive Pinder and June James organised a charity event which included a candlelight concert in St Nicholas Church, Newnham with support from Chris James, local singer-songwriter and East Londoners, Andy and James who entertained the guests with well-known classics, which ended in the audience on its feet, singing along.

Midsummer Soiree

A Midsummer Soiree was held at The Barn at Upper Cranbourne Farm in Sutton on 22nd June 2013. The evening began with an illustrated talk by Lady Young about her father, the sculptor Oscar Nemon and, after the interval, was followed by a concert given by Hannah Medlam, soprano, Lukas Medlam, violin and David Owen Norris, piano. Over £4,000 was raised during the evening, which was introduced by Merv Rees.

Ark the Herald Angels Sing

One of our very first fundraising took part close to home in the staff canteen at Basingstoke Hospital. Local singer Angie Cook held a Christmas karaoke to entertain staff and patients just before the Christmas break.
