Great show of support from Phillips Solicitors

They have been great Our Partner supporters of Ark Cancer Centre Charity - and the Phillips Solicitors team were delighted to hand over a cheque for £7,098 after another successful year of fundraising.

The giant cheque represented the end result of various fundraising activities for Ark, which was Phillips' Charity of the Year for 2016-17 and 2017-18.

Ark supporters take fundraising to a new height

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again – and that’s exactly what 18 fabulous Ark Cancer Centre Charity supporters did as they came, saw and conquered an abseiling challenge at a Hampshire landmark.

High winds on April 7 meant a team of intrepid fundraisers had to reschedule their attempt to abseil down the Emirates Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth – so on Sunday, May 13, the determined team returned and completed the feat in style.

Half-Marathon heroes go the extra mile for Ark

They will certainly be feeling it today, but many congratulations to the more than 50 runners who completed the Basingstoke Half-Marathon in support of Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

A 50-strong team from Basingstoke Half-Marathon headline sponsor Phillips Solicitors and a three-strong team from fellow Our Partner Ark Cancer Centre Charity supporters Clarke & Son Solicitors went the extra 13.1 miles for Ark.

Both sets of runners have been fundraising through The Good Exchange, meaning that every pound they are sponsored will be match-funded by Greenham Common Trust.

Phillips Solicitors team will run for Ark

A 50-strong team from Basingstoke Half-Marathon headline sponsor Phillips Solicitors will be going the extra mile to raise funds for Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Phillips Solicitors has recruited a great show of support for this year’s event on Sunday, October 1.

While all of the runners will have individual goals, the team will have a collective target – and that is to raise £5,000 for Phillips Solicitors’ chosen Charity of the Year which is Ark.

Are you up for a great run?

‘Come on board and join the Ark2016 team’ – that’s the rallying call from Mark Jones, who is looking for recruits for the Destination Basingstoke Phillips Half-Marathon.
