Hospital Male Voice Choir launch CD to help Ark

They are wonderful supporters of Ark Cancer Centre Charity - and now Basingstoke Hospital Male Voice Choir (BHMVC) have launched a CD in support of the good cause.

The choir have helped to raise thousands of pounds for, and awareness of, Ark's £5million appeal which will fund supportive services and care, complementary therapies, and an enhanced environment within a much-needed NHS cancer treatment centre at Basingstoke hospital.

Unum team celebrate record-breaking support for Ark

They've provided record-breaking support for Ark Cancer Centre Charity - and today the fabulous team at Unum UK Basingstoke celebrated the success of a two-year partnership.

Ark has been proud and honoured to be Unum Basingstoke's chosen charity for 2018 and 2019, and in that time, the team at the Basing View-based offices have raised a superb £16,640.

It's a record sum for Unum Basingstoke's local charity partnership, and this year saw the fabulous fundraisers smash their £10,000 milestone target in 12 months.

Marvellous £100K milestone for Ark recycling partnership

A marvellous milestone has been reached – and it's one hundred thousand thanks to Ark Cancer Centre Charity supporters.

In 2016, Ark became a charity partner of Bag It Up (BIU) Group – one of the UK’s leading clothing and textile recycling companies.

The partnership means Ark is among BIU’s charity partners to benefit from a percentage of the proceeds when residents, businesses and community groups recycle their unwanted clothing and shoes in Ark-branded BIU recycling banks in Hampshire.

Whiteoaks six-a-side challenge delivers winning result for Ark

Ark Our Partner supporter Whiteoaks International PR scored another fundraising goal for the charity by organising a six-a-side football challenge.

The leading technology PR agency, based in Hook, hosted the event at Robert May’s School, in Odiham, on Friday, October 18, and it raised £503.

Teams from Virgin Media, EDMI, Taylor Wimpey, Emerald Colour, Doug Clark FC as well as members of staff from Whiteoaks took part in the fun.

Emerald Colour's team triumphed on the night, and the money raised takes Whiteoaks International PR's running total for Ark to £1,976.

Beaufort Financial quiz is frightfully good

A Hallowe'en-themed charity quiz night was frightfully good when it came to producing a great result for two good causes, including Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Beaufort Financial (Reading) are fabulous supporters of Ark and St Michael's Hospice, in Basingstoke, and the two charities shared the £1,590 raised at the latest quiz night.

The Tea Bar in London Street, Basingstoke, was the venue for the fundraiser, with 11 teams from various local businesses taking part.

Bison and Zizzi serve up a boost for Ark

What a n-ice event! It was a very good night for Bison fans and Ark Cancer Centre Charity as the Trane Basingstoke Bison and Zizzi Basingstoke teamed up to support the good cause. 

Bison supporters had the pleasure of being waited on by the Herd’s ice hockey stars as the Bison and Zizzi held the first of two charity evenings at Zizzi in London Street, Basingstoke.

Charity concert supports two good causes

An afternoon of marvellous music pulled in the pounds for Ark and another good cause at the weekend.

Basingstoke Hospital Male Voice Choir (BHMVC) and The Larks singers teamed up for the charity concert in support of Ark and St Peter and St Paul's Church - the parish church of King's Somborne.

Former BHMVC member Bill Martin, who now lives in King's Somborne and is a member of The Larks, was the driving force behind the concert. 

The Topiary Salon 15th birthday celebration supports Ark

Happy birthday to Ark Our Partner supporter The Topiary Salon, which is celebrating 15 years of success.

Laura Haystaff and team are marking the milestone for the business, which now has salons in Old Basing and Houndmills, Basingstoke, with two special Ark fundraising days today and tomorrow that feature cake, bubbly and prizes. A well-supported raffle and prize draw are both helping to pull in the pounds for Ark.

Mark Jones, for Ark, popped in with cake and a card, and thanked Laura and her team for their support.

It's a half-marathon hat-trick for dynamic Darren

Congratulations and thanks to dynamic Darren Lovegrove for going the extra mile, and then some, again for Ark Cancer Centre Charity in the 2019 Basingstoke Half-Marathon.

It's the third year running that Clarke & Son Solicitors marketing manager Darren has pulled on the running shoes for the gruelling half-marathon to raise funds for, and awareness of, Ark's £5million appeal.

Whiteoaks International PR are Ark bake-off champs

Baking skills were certainly on show as eight teams from Whiteoaks International PR competed in a charity cooking contest.

An assortment of tasty treats was created in the Great British Bake Off-style competition which raised funds for Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Adrian Culver, patisserie chef from Newlyns Cookery School, was the judge who put the cakes and bakes to the test and taste, and chose the top team and star baker.

Team Capella were delighted to claim the Bake-Off crown, while the star baker accolade went to Emma Slaughter.
