Super support from Bison and Zizzi

It was another very n-ice result for Ark Cancer Centre Charity as generous fans of the Trane-sponsored Basingstoke Bison turned out in force to support a special evening at a long-standing sponsor of the Herd.

Fans had the pleasure of being waited on by the Herd’s ice hockey stars as the Bison players and Zizzi restaurant staff teamed up for the second of two charity evenings at Zizzi in London Street, Basingstoke.

A signed shirt, an autographed ice hockey stick and Zizzi vouchers were among the prizes in a well-supported raffle, and some of the Bison players, together with Booster Club volunteers Carol and Gary Blakemore, sold plenty of tickets for the big draw.

The raffle raised £393.39 for the charity, which is a superb result.

Mark Jones, said: “Ark Cancer Centre Charity is proud to be a community partner of the Bison, and we are grateful for the generous support that Ark has received from the Bison players, management and supporters, and the team at Zizzi in Basingstoke.

"Everyone at Ark wishes the Bison good luck for the run-in to the end of the season. Let's hope they can win some very well-deserved silverware."

John Neville, on behalf of the Trane-sponsored Basingstoke Bison, said: “As an organisation, we are very proud to hold these charity evenings with our friends from Zizzi and Ark.

“Everyone at the Bison enjoys these evenings where the fans get to see the players in a different and fun environment, raising much-needed funds for a local cause."
