Arkriders gear up for 2019 challenge

They are at the heart of the community campaign to raise £5million for a new NHS cancer treatment centre in Basingstoke – and now the Arkriders are gearing up for their 2019 fundraising feat.

Ark Cancer Centre Charity has raised more than £2m as it continues its appeal to help fund the new centre which will provide care and support for cancer patients and their loved ones throughout the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) area.

Out with the old, in with the new

HELLO 2019 – and Ark Cancer Centre Charity is hoping that supporters will carry the spirit of out with the old, in with the new into this last year of the decade to help the £5million fundraising campaign reach another milestone.

Ark is urging local people to make a resolution to recycle unwanted clothes and shoes in January in one of the charity's many branded recycling banks that are dotted in and around the Basingstoke area.

Thanks for your support in 2018

2018 is the year that Ark Cancer Centre Charity passed the £2million milestone on the journey towards the £5m goal.

The public backing for Ark’s £5m appeal that will help to fund the much-needed NHS cancer treatment centre at Basingstoke hospital continues to be awesome and humbling – and it’s your great support that has enabled the charity to reach this significant fundraising staging post in 2018.

Plans to locate the new cancer treatment centre on the Basingstoke hospital site are moving forward, and 2019 will hopefully be a year of significant progress on this front. 

Beaufort Financial quiz delivers boost for Ark

They are great Our Partner supporters of Ark Cancer Centre Charity – and now the team at Beaufort Financial have rounded off their 2018 fundraising for Ark Cancer Centre Charity with a successful quiz night.

The Tea Bar in London Street, Basingstoke, was the venue for the latest fundraiser, and 10 teams from various local businesses took part.

It was a close-fought contest but the team from LMW chartered accountants and business advisers won the celebratory fizz – and it was a great result for the charity as £2,000 was raised at the event.

Arkriders donation takes Ark past £2million milestone

They have been a driving force when it comes to fundraising for Ark Cancer Centre Charity – and now the latest donation by the Arkriders has taken the charity past the £2million milestone. 

The Arkriders have raised more than £215,000 for Ark’s £5million appeal which will help to fund a much-needed new NHS cancer treatment centre at Basingstoke hospital.

Clarke & Son are community champions at INSPIRE18 Business Awards

Congratulations to the fabulous team at Ark Our Partner business supporter Clarke & Son Solicitors after the legal eagles won the Business and the Community trophy at the INSPIRE18 Business Awards.

Clarke & Son, based in Winchester Road, Basingstoke, are the longest-standing Ark Our Partner supporter, and since 2015, the fantastic team have raised nearly £70,000 for Ark's £5million appeal to help fund the new NHS cancer treatment centre.

Debbie's bold show of support for Ark

She loves her hair – but Debbie Le Besque is gearing up to lose her precious locks in a bold show of support for Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Literally going for a bald new look was a big decision for mother-of-four Debbie to take. However, she wanted to make a difference to Ark’s £5million appeal that will help to fund a new NHS cancer treatment centre – and she is well on her way to hitting her £1,500 target.

Jackie is Ark's Queen of the Jungle

'I’m A Celebrity' is well and truly in the public spotlight but Ark Cancer Centre Charity already has its own Queen of the Jungle.

Charity champion Jackie Wicks has returned home after conquering a jungle challenge – and she is delighted to have achieved her goal of raising a four-figure sum for Ark’s £5million appeal that will help to fund a new NHS cancer treatment centre at Basingstoke hospital.
