FedsOnLegs complete a hat-trick for Ark

They’ve done it – the fabulous FedsOnLegs have completed a hat-trick of Great South Runs in support of Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

In 2016 and 2017, three Basingstoke police officers piled on the miles as they took part in the Simplyhealth Great South Run in support of Ark Cancer Centre Charity's £5million appeal – and on Sunday, the team went on the run again at the 2018 event.

This year, Sergeant Trevor Taylor and PC Aiden Blackwell were joined by their colleagues PC Christian Reid Milligan and PCSO Rich Green as they joined thousands of runners who completed the 10-mile challenge.

In glorious Autumn sunshine, the fab four piled on the miles and clocked up impressive times as all of them came home under the 1hr 40 minute mark.

Christian was first across the finish line in 1.11.29, followed by Trevor in 1.19.22, Aiden in 1.21.58, and Rich in 1.39.41.

Mark Jones, director of fundraising and communications at Ark Cancer Centre Charity, said: "The charity is grateful to Trevor, Aiden, Christian and Rich for putting in the time and effort to train for, and take part in, the 2018 Simplyhealth Great South Run.

“It's wonderful that Trevor and Aiden have now completed an individual and team hat-trick of Great South Runs for Ark, and the charity is grateful to them, and their colleagues, for their great support in raising funds for, and awareness of, the charity and the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) cancer treatment centre project."
