Dynamic duo gear up to run Great South Run for Ark

They've already completed a hat-trick of Simplyhealth Great South Runs in support of Ark Cancer Centre Charity as FedsOnLegs - and now Sergeant Trevor Taylor and PC Aiden Blackwell are set to take part in the 2019 event as superheroes.

The dynamic Basingstoke police duo have pledged to run round the 10-mile course in Portsmouth in full Spider-Man suits if they can raise at least £250 for Ark.

Trevor and Aiden will be among thousands of runners taking part in the milestone 30th Great South Run on Sunday, October 20.

Trevor said: "This will be our fourth year raising money for this great cancer charity. Many of us have been affected in some way by cancer, and we are grateful to everyone who sponsors and supports us and Ark."

Mark Jones, at Ark Cancer Centre Charity, said: "Trevor and Aiden are great supporters of Ark Cancer Centre Charity's fundraising appeal to help fund an NHS cancer treatment centre at Basingstoke hospital, and everyone at Ark is grateful to them for taking part in another Simplyhealth Great South Run.

"They truly are Ark superheroes so it would be fitting to see them complete the course in Spider-Man costumes. Thanks to everyone who sponsors and supports them, and we wish them good luck in completing this fourth big challenge."
