Dynamic duo complete fourth Great South Run for Ark

They are Ark superheroes - and yesterday dynamic duo Trevor Taylor and Aiden Blackwell chalked up another fundraising feat for the cancer charity.

Trevor and Aiden smashed their £250 fundraising target for Ark, which meant they took part in the 30th anniversary Simplyhealth Great South Run dressed as Spider-Man.

It's the fourth year running (literally!) that the Basingstoke police officers have raised money for Ark by taking part in the Great South Run.

Trevor, who is a sergeant, completed the course in one hour and 19 minutes, while his constable colleague Aiden crossed the finish line a few minutes later in one hour and 29 minutes.

Trevor said: "This is our fourth year raising money for this great cancer charity, and it was a little different, but fun, for us to complete the course dressed as Spider-Man. As always, there was a great atmosphere, and great support from the crowds. Thanks to everyone who has supported and sponsored us."

Mark Jones said: "Trevor and Aiden are great supporters of Ark Cancer Centre Charity's fundraising appeal to help fund an NHS cancer treatment centre at Basingstoke hospital. Once again, they have really gone the extra mile, and then some, for Ark. Thanks to them, and to everyone who has sponsored them."

There is still time to sponsor Trevor and Aiden, and anyone who wishes to can go to http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/SpiderMengosouth
