Clarke & Son's magnificent seven gear up for abseil

It will be a real show of girl power as a seven-strong all-women team take on a challenge that will see a Basingstoke law firm’s fundraising go to new heights.

The team at Clarke & Son Solicitors have raised £55,000 for Ark Cancer Centre Charity since 2015, and they are on a mission to add a further £15,000 to that total in 2018-19.

Legal eagle Marie flies high on wing walk

SHE'S done it! Legal eagle Marie Pym defied her fear of heights to soar into a sky on a wing walk that has raised more than £1,000 for Ark Cancer Centre Charity and was a great tribute to her late brother.

Family and friends gathered at Chiltern Park Aerodrome, in Ipsden, Oxfordshire, to watch marvellous Marie achieve the awesome feat of soaring into the sky on top of a bi-plane - and there were cheers and applause as she completed the daring challenge.

Rotary picnic event delivers boost for Ark

Thanks to the fabulous members of The Rotary Club of Odiham and Hook for delivering another fundraising boost to Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

The Picnic in the Paddock event took place at Swan Paddock behind Albion Yard, in Hook Road, North Warnborough, on Saturday, July 21, and the well-supported evening saw those attending enjoy a feast of music as well as their food and drink.

Organised by The Rotary Club of Odiham and Hook, the event raised £2,400 which was divided between Ark Cancer Centre Charity and St Michael’s Hospice.

The cheque presentation took place at the club's latest meeting at Dummer Golf Club, and a similar sum was handed over to Home-Start North West Hampshire.

Both charities were the major beneficiaries of a successful fundraising Charity Dinner that Basingstoke Rotary put on at Audley's Wood Hotel in Basingstoke in April.

Clarke & Son on course for fundraising goal

A successful Charity Golf Day has put the dynamic team at a Basingstoke law firm on course for another year of fabulous fundraising.

Clarke & Son Solicitors, based in Winchester Road, was one of the first Our Partner corporate supporters of Ark Cancer Centre Charity in February 2015 – and since then, they have raised £55,000 for Ark’s campaign to help fund a much-needed local cancer treatment centre.

Ark is Clarke & Son’s Charity of the Year again in 2018-19, and the team have set themselves a £15,000 fundraising target over the 12 months.

Arkriders beat the heat and raise over £8,750

The heat was well and truly on last weekend – but the fabulous Arkriders once again proved they’ve got what it takes when it comes to rising to a cycling challenge to support Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

They’ve piled on the pedal power from John O’Groats to Land’s End, London to Brighton, and from Basingstoke to Paris – and now they’ve added the Bournemouth Beano to their list of achievements.

England rugby legend supports Beaufort challenge

They've been piling on the pedal power all week - and the fabulous Beaufort Financial team got a helping hand from an England rugby legend.

Jeremy Guscott, who won 65 caps for England, hopped on one of the bikes that the Beaufort Financial team have been using to complete their Static Beano challenge.

As part of the build-up to the Beaufort Financial-sponsored Arkriders Bournemouth Beano event on July 14-15 – which is raising money for Ark Cancer Centre Charity – members of the team have been clocking up the miles on a static bike from July 9-13.

De La Rue kick off Ark fundraising for 2018-19

Staff at De La Rue have held the first of their fundraising events in support of Ark for 2018-19.

The Summer Picnic event, which took place in 'The Street' of De La Rue's Viables headquarters, saw many of the 500-strong team come along to buy books, plants and take part in a raffle, with all of the proceeds raised going to Ark.

Ark was chosen as the De La Rue head office Charity of the Year for 2018-19 following a staff vote, and the charity is delighted to have received this significant show of support.
